We had to present our evaluation questions to our class. Here are doe pictures taken during my presentation:

Evaluation Question 3
3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Audience feedback is a crucial part of creating a media product. It's important to see what an example of a consumer would think about your product because they may have a different opinion to you. When creating a product your opinion as a creator is less important because you are not going to be the one viewing the product from a consumer's point of view.
Because of this I decided to get some sort of audience feedback for each of my tasks.
Here are some people viewing potential magazine advertisement templates:
Eventually my audience felt that a simpler approach would be more effective, by using the same blur effect as I did on my digipak, as this would help to maintain a strong link between the two.
For my digipak I decided to draw up a list of fonts and get people to decide which one would look more appropriate on my cover.
Overall the simplest font of Arial Narrow won the most votes. I was pleased with this decision because it was the font that I originally wanted to go for.
When it came to my music video it was difficult to find ways in order to incorporate audience feedback into my idea, because the idea was already in advanced stages before I had the chance to ask anyone's opinion. When it came to things like costume and casting however, people's opinions mattered and I made an educated desision based on what I had heard.
Evaluation Question 2
2. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
When creating my music video I had to always bear in mind the fact that it's style had to somehow link to the ancillary tasks, the music magazine advertisement and the CD Digipak. This was important, because the branding of the whole promotion pack for an album needs t link so that the consumer is able to make a connection between them.
For example, Jessie J's album 'Who You Are' made an obvious link by using the same image for the CD and for the magazine advertisement:
Even the music video for the debut track from the album had signs of very similar miss-en-scene and overall personality which you receive from the album cover and advertisement.
My Tasks:
With the route I chose to go down I was at a slight disadvantage and was not going to be able to replicate the links found in Jessie J's products. This is because the band were not going to feature in my music video, and not artist was going to feature on the front cover either.
This was not an issue, because I had chosen to opt this way. I believed that by not featuring the artist meant that no consumer could make many judgments on the music just by looking at the digipak and magazine advertisement and this would therefore mean that the music was open to a much broader audience than my artist's original products would allow.
The music video was thought of in the same way. I didn't want to feature a girl band performing because I think that males may watch that automatically take a distaste to the music. By featuring relatable male character in Oli, I was able to open up the music to both sexes, because women may find the character desirable, and men may relate to him:
Due to these circumstances I had to link the products in a different way. This was a fairly simple task for my digipak and magazine advertisement because I could simply use the same image for both products, which I did:

The music video was going to be a slightly bigger challenge however, because I was not planning to shoot any footage in the location of the image featured. Also, the actor in the video was not going to feature on the ancillary task.
I decide that the location for a big majority of my video should mirror the location in which I took my photograph for my digipak and magazine advertisement. I chose this area:
Although not identical, the themes of a green and remote area are the same, so I think this matches well enough to trigger themes between the tasks.
